Fountain for Algebra Set at Elementary Schools

student learning algebra

Fourth grade teacher Mr. Ramsden working with his students on some math problems.

🧠 The Mathematics department is presenting a series of videos to give parents an overview of how our program helps students build from number sense to algebraic thinking. The second of four segments was presented at last night’s Board of Education meeting. It focused on mathematics in Grades 4 and 5. You can view the video here.

  • Why it matters: In math class, students learn new habits of reasoning, problem-solving, and evaluating strategies and solutions - all applicable real-world skills based on our commitment to high-level academics.

  • What’s next: The next video on March 14 will explore grades 6-8 and the final piece, grades 9-12, will be shown on April 25.
