We are excited to announce that our brand-new curriculum platform is now live! You can access the entire K-12 curriculum using this link. It can also be found on our district website under the Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment page.

We are proud to be the first school district in the world to publish its curriculum using Eduplanet21’s brand-new service called Blueprint. With the Blueprint, you can view the over 200 courses that we offer and the almost 1,000 instructional units that make up those courses. Blueprint not only allows you to review the goals for each individual unit, it allows you to see how it all fits together - by design, as I described in a recent blog published by Eduplanet21.

• You can see, for instance, how the second unit of the year builds off of the first unit of the year in a mathematics course.

• You can see how Grade 3 builds off the skills and knowledge taught in Grade 2.

• You can see how that science unit fits into the overall Grade 7 science course.

• You can see how Algebra 1 helps us move students towards the goals we set out for K-12 mathematics.

• And you can see how the Profile of a Ramsey Graduate is integrated throughout the K-12 Ramsey Experience.

Over the years, we have worked to create a top-of-the-line curriculum that prepares all students for their futures rather than our past. We strive for a curriculum that will help students develop the foundational knowledge and skills that lead to content mastery, and a curriculum that ensures students can understand and apply the knowledge they are acquiring.

The release of the Blueprint makes our curriculum fully transparent for everyone. We are proud of what we are trying to achieve. We are proud of how we are implementing the state standards. We are proud to share it with you.

Of course our curriculum plays a major role in our strong academic program. It also helps develop the personal and learning skills that are highly sought by secondary institutes and employers. The Ramsey Experience has helped our graduates achieve their ambitious goals.

• Recent alumni were accepted to some of the nation’s best universities including Princeton, Yale, Stanford, and Columbia.

• Others received coveted commissions to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis. Over the past few years, several graduates chose to serve our country in the Army, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard.

It is the strong partnership between the schools and families of Ramsey that have made us such an effective team for the past 114 years. As you have a chance to review the curriculum, compare it to your child’s homework and assignments, then engage in dialogue with your child’s teachers. If your question is outside the teacher’s realm, he or she will direct you to a subject supervisor or building principal.
