Ramsey High School’s Claire Beslow is Bergen County Counselor of the Year
Ramsey High School Guidance Counselor Claire Beslow recently received the Bergen County Counselor of the Year Award after being nominated by her colleagues for her work and connection with the students.
Beslow has worked at the district for 42 years, first as an English teacher and then as a middle school guidance counselor before taking on her current position in 2002. She assists students in grades 9 through 12 and is known for her intense advocacy on behalf of each one. She also spends countless hours helping her students plan their academic, career, and college goals.
Beslow also makes herself available to the parents to help the entire family navigate social and emotional well-being. She has always been a mentor to her fellow counselors, and, for about a decade, has presented at the NJACAC College Fairs and facilitated seminars at the state conference and college fairs.
