Valedictorian, Salutatorian Make Impact on Ramsey High School

Valedictorian Viktor Basharkevich and Salutatorian Caroline Joo are moving on from Ramsey High School, but not without leaving behind impressive records of accomplishments.

Viktor took three classes at the Governor’s School of New Jersey and ran coding nights at Ramsey library; he was the National Honor Society Treasurer, Ukrainian Club President, and Robotics Club Co-Captain, as well as a member of Varsity Debate, Math League, JV Cross Country, and much more. He plans on studying Computer Science at Columbia University this fall.
Caroline Joo
Caroline’s varied achievements include serving as President of Debate Club and Head Drum Major of Marching Band, as well as a Research Assistant/Coder for Dr. Jennifer Harriger at Pepperdine University. She wrote an article for The Korea Times newspaper, and launched a podcast to empower a community of young women and address social issues. Caroline is planning to study Sociology on a Pre-Med track at Duke University this fall.
