On Friday, we celebrate our 114th graduation. The sun was shining, the grounds looked spectacular, and the graduates were beaming almost as much as their parents.
We started the evening by honoring the Rams who are going on to serve our country. Students impressed us with performances, and our valedictorian and salutatorian delivered memorable speeches. Then came an unexpected rain storm. While other districts may have ended the ceremony with haste, we did not. We did what we have done in the past - we pivoted together as one Ramsey Family. After a brief delay, we moved to the football field and continued the ceremony and EVERY graduate had the experience of hearing his or her name called and accepting a diploma.
In a strange way, I am not unhappy this happened. I think it showed Ramsey at our best. Students, staff, and parents rallied, pivoted, and never lost our positive attitude. Thank you to those who made this night a memorable one. Please enjoy some other highlights and examples of what makes our district far greater than a number.
