One of the most important skills we attempt to cultivate in our students is the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. This skill is taught from PreK to 12th grade with growing sophistication. As part of this work, students learn how to construct a well-reasoned and evidence-based opinion and various techniques for engaging in argumentation both verbally and in writing. In this video (the third of five in the series), we travel to Dater School to visit with Grade 4 teacher Ms. Lisa Carozza and Grade 5 teacher Ms. Melissa Aujero as they show us how they build off the work done in Grades K-3 and prepare students for the upcoming work at the middle school.
