Third grade is a year of growth that serves as a bridge between elementary and intermediary learning. In third grade, students make the jump from learning to read, to reading to learn. Reading and writing begin to be integrated with science and social studies learning. Students become global ambassadors as well as experimenting scientists. Through individualized differentiation and small group work, third grade students learn what it means and what it takes to be life-long learners.
