Dear Ramsey and Saddle River Communities,

 

One of the most critical choices a School Board will make is the appointment of a new superintendent. Finding the right superintendent to lead the Ramsey School District is crucial to the district's long-term success. The Board of Education has opted to leverage the expertise of the NJ School Boards Association and solicit information from other districts who have recently gone through this process and performed similar surveys and searches (ie Tenafly, Pascack Valley and Martin School District).

This phase of the search is crucial because it entails getting YOUR feedback on our school system and the qualities you think are vital in our next leader. The search process is an excellent opportunity for members of the Board of Education to learn more about your thoughts on our district's future direction. We value your feedback! 

The Board is seeking input from all district residents, parents/guardians of Ramsey students, as well as students, faculty and staff as part of its process.  We appreciate you taking the time to offer your thoughts on the characteristics, experiences, and talents you would want to see in our next superintendent. This survey is being administered by Ramsey’s Board of Education and more specifically the Executive Search Committee. It will take you less than ten minutes to finish. Your anonymous responses will be coupled with those of other stakeholders to provide community and staff feedback to the Board of Education as it strives to choose the best and most successful candidate for this crucial district position.  The Board of Education plans to interview candidates in mid-July with the goal of finding a final candidate by September. 

Please note, any responses containing individual names or duplicate surveys will be deleted. All surveys must be completed and submitted by June 6, 2022.

We understand that many character traits, qualities and skills are valued. We are challenging you to help us prioritize between qualities that are somewhat important to those that are critically important to you.
