The Smith Library Media Center offers programs for students throughout the year.
- Book Clubs offer students the ability to explore genres previously undiscovered in their reading experience. There is a club for each grade level that meets at lunchtime. During the meeting, students discuss the current selection, enjoy pizza with their friends and choose the next title.
- Battle of the Books is a county wide competition for students who love reading and a good competition! Teams of 4 or 5 are formed and students are given a list of books to divide and conquer. Each student is responsible for reading and becoming and expert on about 3 books and a backup on 3 books. After an intra-school competition, winners travel to a county competition.
- Other prorgams such as Podcasting, Rubik's Challenge and MakerSpace are offered during lunch and wellness periods. These programs allow students opportunities to explore their interests in STEM, problem solving and coding in a relaxed and fun enviornment.
