Philosophy/Cuts
My name is Jessica Waldeck-Harte, the Head Coach of the Girls' Volleyball Program. My coaching style emphasizes discipline and skill development mixed with fun. I believe that as a coach, I am not only teaching volleyball skills but also life skills including discipline, time management, self-confidence and hard work.
Volleyball student athletes take pride in themselves, their teammates and Ramsey High School. We are a classy program that other schools envy because of our work habits on the court and the classroom. Our student athletes get to the gym early and get ready quickly so that they can get extra contacts. We take advantage of every opportunity to get better. Volleyball student athletes never let their teammates give less than 100%. We respect each other, our opponents and the officials.
Playing time is earned by performance in practices and games. Athletic competition, by design, is filled with many challenges. Winning is not the most important thing, but the effort put forth to win is. Parents can make a big difference in the success of the athletic program by encouraging their student athletes and supporting the efforts of the coaches.
If cuts are needed, that will be clearly communicated by the coaching staff prior to anything happening.
