Philosophy
We believe that the athletic program has much to contribute to the overall education of our students. Athletic competition, by design, is filled with many challenges. Winning is not the most important thing, but the effort put forth to win is. The Ramsey High School Athletic Department is held in high regard within the conference, county and state. Our athletes are expected to uphold this reputation by exhibiting the highest level of competition and sportsmanship. Ramsey athletes traditionally are known for their dedication to their sport, intense competitive spirit and respect for both opponents and officials.
Ramsey Football is a team that does not make reductions of student athletes. Football is a sport that allows more chances that other sports because of the number of players each team needs to perform at a competitive level. We encourage maximum participation according to interest, maturity, and ability.
Expectations/Cut Policy
It is expected that the student athlete has a clear line of communication with their coach.
If there are cuts to be made, that will be communicated with the players the first day of "official" practice.
