Expectations/Philosophy/Cuts

Training on your own - You must show up to preseason in shape!  Preseason is not the time to get in shape.  If you want to be part of the program, you must be willing to put in the effort and time.

Unfortunately, cuts are a very real possibility - based on skill level, fitness, work ethic, team work, dedication, etc.  Coaching staff decisions are made in what is determined as at the best interest of each team and the program as a whole.  All decisions on cuts are final for the current season. 

Summer Practice Schedule

Coaches present, formal practices, not mandatory but highly recommended.

The more you are around during the summer, the more the coaches get to see you play and interact with the rest of the team.  Players need to sign up on the "Remind" with Coach Blacido to get all the summer announcements.

Preseason Information

Official practice for grades 9-12 begins August 21, 2023, time TBD

Physical/other paperwork must be in by August 1, 2023 to participate.

Day 1-4 Tryouts

Day 5 - Light practice - Team announcements

Teams will practice 5-6 days a week, 1-2 days off a week

Fitness is key!

Reductions are a VERY REAL possibility.

Earning a Varsity Letter

In order for a student athlete to earn a Varsity letter, the individual must play/be on the varsity roster for 1/3 of the total games.
