Mission statement: To empower young people to successfully confront the risks and pressures that challenge them throughout their daily lives.  We promote resiliency, leadership, and advocacy skills so that young people can make life decisions that will carry them through life.  S.A.D.D. club welcomes all youth who seek support for health and safe development for themselves and others within our community by caring, showing compassion, and a commitment to reinforcement of proactive factors.  Inherently, we look to eliminate risk factros for individual teens by pursuing best practices, sharing scientifici knowledge, and integrating evidence-based approaches into our work from concept to implementation to evaluation.  Some S.A.D.D. members are also an integrated part of the Municipal Alliance within the town of Ramsey and help promote anti-bullying and anti-drug messages throughout the community.

    Main goals/events:

    1. To promote a broad understanding of the risks facing youth and the importance of reinforcing protective factors.

    2. Students within S.A.D.D. will work together with the community and school in order to promote health and good decision making for oneself.

    3. Students who are involved in S.A.D.D. will work within the school during the Week of Respect to promote kindness, respect, and positive choices.
