Dater Information Technology Center
The Information Technology Center at Dater is where students will be engaged in 21st century learning, technology integration and interdisciplinary research projects. Students will have access to materials in all formats and will be given instructions to foster competence and stimulate interest in reading. Both fourth and fifth grade students will become competent using Google Drive: docs, slides, sheets, forms and drawings. All projects require students to practice effective, efficient and safe research while creating a bibliography to cite sources. A strong emphasis is placed on Digital Citizenship with lessons and activities throughout the school year with our principal and guidance counselor co-teaching some sessions. Book fairs, author visits, student volunteers, coding, 3-D printing and more enhance each school year.
It's a pleasure teaching and watching your children grow - I look forward to a great school year!
