Budget 2013-2014

The State of New Jersey has developed a "User-Friendly" budget format  for citizens  to  review the 2013-2014 budget.  Click HERE for a document which contains two years of enrollment history and one year of projections.  Budget information includes actual audited expenditures for  2011-2012, the 2012-2013 year budget as of February 1, 2013, and the  budget for 2013-2014.

Dear Residents:
Although there are many important civic reasons for becoming a registerevoted voter and voting in all elections, there is a specific importance to doing so for the school elections. The school budget is voted on the third Tuesday in April.  This year, the budget will be voted on Tuesday, April 16, 2013. On this date, the polls will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., registered voters get the opportunity to vote on their local school budgets and to elect individuals to serve on the Board of Education. As you can imagine, these elections have a tremendous impact on the future direction of a school district. I, therefore, encourage all residents to take the time to register to vote. (If you have just moved to Ramsey, you will need to change your registration to reflect that move.)

To make it easier for you to become a registered voter, we are providing the necessary "Voter Registration Form" on this website. You can simply print it out at home and send it to the address indicated. Forms are also available in our schools, the Superintendent's Office, and the Ramsey Municipal Building if you are unable to print one from home.

Since many of our residents travel as part of their work, or get home from work after the normal polling hours, we are also providing you with the information on how to use an "Application for Vote by Mail Ballot" (formerly Absentee Ballot). Please note that working late with the anticipation of missing the opportunity to vote in person is a legitimate reason for using a "Vote by Mail Ballot".

If you have any questions on either the voter registration process, or the vote-by-mail  process, please do not hesitate to call.

Sincerely,

Burce De Young
Superintendent of Schools
