  • Smiles for Our Soldiers: A Thanksgiving Event

On November 18th, Smith School Community Service Club members created thank-you cards for U.S. soldiers serving overseas who will not be with their own families for the holidays. This Event, Smiles for Our Soldiers, drew over one hundred of its members and represented the real power of community service.  The letters will be shipped to Operation Gratitude, where they will be sorted and distributed in care packages for the soldiers.  The entire school became involved in this event by wearing patriotic colors on the 18th and the staff also contributed a total of $230 for the Wounded Warrior Project.  To all our Smith School families and staff- Happy Thanksgiving!
